Monomials

When dividing by a monomials it is general best to divide by the numerator into individual fractions. For example

12x⁴-9x³+15x² / 3x²

So we have

12x⁴ - 9x³ + 15x²
----   ---   ---- = 4x² - 3x + 5
3x²    3x²   3x²

Binomials

The way to do this is by long division
